Tractor Nation has a second FRC team, 8424 Tractor Technicians Next Gen, that is entirely 7th & 8th grade students.

8424 isn't a JV team -- these students were leaders in the fall FTC season and selected based on written applications. Next Gen students receive mentorship and support from 3655 and compete side-by-side with high school teams from around the state. 

Smaller team size means that students can try out multiple subteams and get more hands-on opportunities to build, program, and drive the robot. By the time they get to high school, they've built relationships and developed skills that give them a head start in our high school program.
